News and Announcements

Hello to All!
I have some important information for everyone for the upcoming 2023 baseball season. Please make sure you mark your calendar and attend our 2023 Coordinator’s preseason meeting, it will be held on February 5, 2023 at 10:30 AM. The meeting will be held at Greenleaf Community Center located at 1187 ½ Parker St. Springfield, MA 01129. It is required that every organization or independent team has a representative there. Please read the information regarding registration fees so you know why.

The registration fee for each team consists of league operating expenses and a premium for accident insurance.
This registration fee must be paid in full by the second organizational meeting. Any team not paying in full at this meeting will not be included in the schedule.

Fees per team for 2023:
HANK AARON * $200.
SANDY KOUFAX * $315./ Plus $30 for A division post season Sandy Koufax play
MICKEY MANTLE * $345. Includes $30 for post season Mickey Mantle play

  • A fee of $200.00 will be charged to any organization that requires us to rewrite schedule, because of adding or removing a team. Anytime a team wants to enter JLS late because they waited for another league to come together and it did not, will not only pay the $200 late fee but also additional late fees to be determined by the Board.
(2023) In an effort to get organizations and teams to attend coordinators and team meetings, JLS will allow teams to take the following discounts.

    • Each coach that attends the first and second team meetings, can deduct a total of $25.00 from that team’s registration fee (coach must attend both meetings to claim the $25.00). No person can represent more than 1 team.

It appears that many coaches/coordinators are having problems filling in and saving these forms. You MUST follow the below instructions to prevent having problems. If you are following these directions and you are still having problems make sure you have the most current version of Adobe Reader which is available at for free.

We now have a YouTube video to show the proper way to download and save JLS pdf files
Save JLS Forms

  1. Go to web site at the bottom of the page open the league
    forms page.

  2. Open form needed and download. Now before filling in
form go to upper right hand corner and right click on SAVE box. Save this form
on your computer in your Documents folder.

  3. Now close the form from the web site and open the one
in your documents file. Fill in this form and when completed save it again to
    your documents folder.

  4. When you have completed all the necessary forms send
an email to put your team name
in the reference line. Now attach all forms you have filled in from your
documents file and send email. Al DeMaio will send you a confirmation email within
24 hours if your forms were filed correctly. If you do not receive an email you
should contact Al so he can help you figure out what went wrong.

  5. At the very least you will need to send in your
individual team registration form and your no play dates immediately or you
risk not being included in our schedules. If you delay, once we complete the
schedules you will be assessed a $200.00 fine to have your team included which
is in addition to your regular league fees.
In certain instances the League can levy additional fees for teams that enter extremely late or under odd circumstances.
